Good Luck Mrs. Collier
We had a memorable day in school on 24th November as the whole school community gathered to thank Mrs. Collier for her dedicated years of teaching in Scoil Bhríde. She received many well deserved gifts. The Infants gave her a canvas drawing, children from 1st – 6th gave her a book of memories and all the children gave her an engraved bronze Genesis figure. The School Team presented her with a wooden carving of two hurls and a sliotar with all the girls’ names from the team on it. Many thanks to Mick Grehan for this piece. The Parents’ Council made presentations of a stone plaque and heathers for the garden, along with a bouquet of flowers, wellies and a duster! The BOM gave Mrs. Collier a cheque and a personalised card.
Mrs. Collier very much enjoyed the singing and poetry in the hall; afterwards we had tea and cakes in the Resource Room. Thanks very much to Ms. Celine Tynan for the delicious cake, to all who brought in cakes, biscuits etc., and the Parents’ Council for all their hard work. Ms. Sheppard compiled a photo story which we watched on the white board – a trip down memory lane!
